The Data and Analytics unit is part of If’s IT Engineering and our main responsibility is to maintain and develop data and analytics solutions for our business. We are responsible for data lake, data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. Our overall data platform is a cornerstone in If’s data strategy, and we work according to agile development principles.

You will be joining a Nordic unit with a total of 15 enthusiastic developers, specialists, architects and managers. Our team is located in If offices in Riga, Oslo and Stockholm.

As a Big data architect, you will define target architecture and roadmap as well as lead the development on our Big data platform, e.g. provide guidelines, coach our data engineers and data scientists and secure good relations to our internal customers and other stakeholders.

• Solid competence and experience in designing and developing cloud-based Big data analytical platforms, preferably on Microsoft Azure
• Experience in developing and debugging solutions using Spark or other distributed computing framework
• Solid software engineering skills, including Python
• Good experience with Databricks
• Experience in developing and maintaining production data pipelines and/or ML solutions
• Understanding of, and experience with, data security and privacy
• Used to work Agile with DevOps practices
• Fluent English
• Strong in communicating technology with technical peers as well as non-technical persons
• Like to work in a sharing and caring culture

Suggested monthly salary is 6500 – 8100 € gross. The specific salary offered to the selected candidate will be based on his/her skills and competences. The monthly salary is only one component of the remuneration – the bonus package and the variable compensation are subject to the If Remuneration Policy.
