Technical Maintenance of Bicycles

Before riding, always check:

• all screws and bolts, especially those on the wheels, handlebars and fork; 
• tire pressure; 
• if both front and back gears are working;
• the steering – make sure the wheels turn smoothly in all directions; 
• if all brake and gear-switching cables slide well and aren’t worn – if needed, oil them or replace them.
