Reflective Vest

Studies show that most serious accidents involving cyclists occur after dark. Cyclists must not only obey traffic regulations, they must be sure they are visible to others.

A reflective vest can be an effective measure that helps to avoid traffic accidents. When you wear a reflective vest in the dark you will be seen much more easily by other drivers.
Not all vests available for purchase are of good quality and meet requirements. Before buying a light-reflecting vest, make sure it meets standard requirements: the vest must not only be bright in colour (orange, yellow or other), it must have two or more horizontal light-reflecting elements attached at the waistline.
The effectiveness of a light-reflecting vest is diminished over time by dust or the sun rays. Therefore, if you notice that the light-reflecting elements on your vest are worn, replace the vest with a new one.
