What Steps to Take?
- We recommend you stay where you are and don’t try to find your own way. Your movement makes the task of finding you more difficult for rescue services. If you didn’t come to the mountains on your own, you will soon be missed and rescuers will be sent out to look for you.
- If you notice that your travelling companions have not returned and you can’t reach them by mobile phone, inform the local rescue services immediately.
- Important: when you’re in the mountains, always try to inform your travelling companions of your whereabouts and when you plan to return. This information will be of great help in case of an accident.
